This work is based on the evidence-informed “Decolonising the Curriculum Wheel Framework” developed by Dr Musharrat Ahmed-Landeryou to support organisations in decolonisation. This is package 1 of 3: each package builds on the previous and has been developed to create supportive, sustainable work within your organisation. 

These workshops are aimed at all who are ready to change their organisation/department using an approach that is not traditional or familiar. It is for organisations committed to antiracism and antidiscrimination: organisations who are willing to make impactful and sustainable change.

This package covers:

• Bespoke preparatory meetings to ensure the workshop is tailored to your organisational requirements.
• One online workshop, 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Provision of learning outcomes and handouts post workshop that provide step by step instructions to implement learning.

In the workshop, we will cover the following:

• Background information to set the context for the approach
• Clarification of terminology
• Introduction on how to apply construct, using the Wheel Framework

Upon completion of this package, attendees will be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the term decolonising.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the process of applying the decolonising approach.
• Demonstrate an understanding of why the method centres Black and minoritised participants.
• Begin the journey of decolonising
