The ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership & Management caters to middle managers seeking to enhance their skills, elevate performance, and ready themselves for senior management roles.

Designed with the practical needs of professionals in mind, these programs empower participants to cultivate expertise, refine their capabilities, and excel in leadership.

The course blends online and work-based learning to cultivate diverse leadership and management skills formally and experientially. Split into modules, each integrates online learning with hands-on activities. Learners complete assignments for feedback and assessment, complemented by monthly coaching sessions with a dedicated management coach.

There are no formal entry requirements, but  participants are typically practicing or aspiring middle managers committed to their professional growth.

Ideal for individuals with substantial management responsibilities or prior managerial experience, this course aims to develop leadership skills, enhance personal and team performance, and prepare for senior roles.

On successful completion of this course participants will be awarded the internationally recognised ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

The programme is delivered and assessed by a team of experienced coaches from the Academy of Leadership and Management. 

Each unit involves a number of learning activities which may include:

• Online learning
• Monthly tutorial sessions with your personal tutor
• 6 practical work-based assignments
• Regular feedback from your tutor and the assessment team

All students are provided with studying membership of the Institute of Leadership & Management and Chartered Management Institute (CMI) for the duration of their course.
 

The program spans 6 months and includes 7 x monthly 1-2-1 tuition sessions, conducted via MS Teams or Zoom.

Participants would be expected to dedicate between 5-8 hours per week undertaking the modules and to complete the assessments.

Assessment: one assignment per learning unit. A series of practically focused assignments based the subject theme and topics, your role, your organisation and your own development as a manager and leader. 

Learners who complete this course will be awarded the internationally recognised ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

26 credits are awarded upon completion.
